Anne Marie Hargreaves - Director of Brand & Commercial Marketing

behind the brand

1. What does your role entail at Call It Spring?

Director, Marketing & Brand. I’m responsible for the direction of the Call It Spring Brand and how consumers ultimately experience it IRL.

2. What’s the best career advice someone has given you?

You, and only you are responsible for your career. If you want something different - pitch for it! If you feel stagnated – challenge yourself to learn/try something new. Never stay in your lane, you don’t need a title change to start learning the work you want to do next.

I embraced this feedback early in my career and find it very empowering to feel like I’m in control. Proof in point, half the promotions I’ve received in my career I didn’t apply for, I built a business case.

3. How do you express yourself outside of work?

Primarily, I would say I express myself as a Mum outside of work. I have an unbelievable 5-year-old daughter and being at my absolute best for her is without question my biggest priority… this entails lots of socializing, sports, and travel adventures!

Tennis is also something I’ve really embraced the last few years and has become an important part of my weekly routine, there’s something very therapeutic and de-stressing about whacking that ball as hard as I can!

4. Favorite podcasts or newsletters in fashion or business?

It’s an oldie but a goodie, but I still love the podcast “How I built this” with Guy Raz, which features entrepreneurial stories. I find the interviews very empowering, as these people have overcome such massive challenges and setbacks to find success.

From a personal perspective, I love the Mel Robbins Podcast. But in addition to different media formats, I would mostly encourage others to gradually build a collective of mentors, people they value and have had a positive impact on their careers. I still regularly speak with several influential people that guided me at the many different stages and places of my career and find this collective to be my most powerful and trusted influence.

5. What’s in your work bag? What can you not leave the house without?

My workbag is pretty simple: Laptop, charger, notebook, sunglasses (or regular glasses, whatever isn’t currently on my face), wallet, and a snack for my daughter when I pick her up from daycare (heaven help me if this item is forgotten).

6. What’s your favorite style of FW24?

I decided to go for the big bag trend and bought CITYY last weekend and I’m LOVING her. But, there are too many to list. This fall’s collection is FIRE.

Monia Atijas - VP Call It Spring

behind the brand

1. What’s the best career advice someone has given you?

Always always stay curious and never stop learning. In the fashion industry, trends and consumer preferences evolve rapidly, and staying ahead requires a continuous thirst for knowledge.

This advice has driven me to seek new experiences, embrace innovation, and always look for ways to improve both myself and the teams I lead. It’s not just about following trends but understanding the deeper shifts in culture, technology etc. that drive those trends.

2. How do you express yourself outside of work?

I have a passion for traveling and exploring new cultures, which never fails to inspire me and spark fresh ideas. I also like to stay active through daily 45 minute workouts which not only keeps me fit but also clears my mind and keeps me grounded. My daughter and I play piano, and this is our way to spend quality time together.

3. Favorite podcasts or newsletters in fashion or business?

Vogue business, BOF, WGSN, to name the few. I love reading and staying informed. If you're ever in need of a good book, drop by my office – I have a few great recommendations for you.

4. What’s in your work bag? What can you not leave the house without?

My phone, laptop, notebook, few lipsticks and my travel size perfume.

5. What’s your favorite style of FW24?

Christophe Gagnon - Director Product Development Footwear

behind the brand

1. What does your role entail at Call It Spring?

At Call It Spring, my role as the Men Director for Product and Design entails overseeing the development and design of men's products. 2. What’s the best career advice someone has given you?

One of the best pieces of career advice I've received is to embrace continuous learning and adaptability. In the dynamic fields of product and design, staying updated with trends, technologies, and customer preferences is crucial.

The other best career advice I've gotten is, "You can't achieve much without your team." It underscores how crucial it is to work together and support each other to succeed.

3. How do you express yourself outside of work?

Outside of work, I express myself through photography and hunting for vintage furniture to refurbish and sell. 6. What’s your favorite style of FW24?

For FW24, my favorite style is RANCHERO. I’m also excited to see what other styles emerge in the coming months that might make their way into my AW24 rotation.

Aunonna Chatterjee - Senior Manager of Buying & Merchandising

behind the brand

1. What does your role entail at Call It Spring?

I’m the Senior Manager of Buying and Merchandising for our International Partners, which means I get to be the brand's voice. I present our new collections to account managers and partners and share all the latest trends and fashion direction.

Market week is super busy for me since all our partners are in town booking next season’s collections. It's an almost 24/7 whirlwind of getting everything ready for the big show! It's hectic, but I love the energy and excitement that comes with it.

2. What’s the best career advice someone has given you?

The best advice I’ve ever taken to heart is: Follow your intuition. Be smart, be brave, and don’t take any shit.” This gem of wisdom wasn’t given to me personally—it was actually advice from Kelly Cutrone to Lauren Conrad in an episode of The Hills —but it resonated with me, and I've been running with it throughout my career.

3. How do you express yourself outside of work?

I’m a people-person who loves connecting with family and friends, both old and new, and laughing until I cry. Nothing recharges my batteries like spending time with people who let me be my true self. And, of course, a martini or glass of wine doesn’t hurt either! 😉

4. Favorite podcasts or newsletters in fashion or business?

My favorite podcast has to be "Giggly Squad" with Hannah Berner and Paige DeSorbo. It’s not specifically about fashion or business; it’s just two best friends chatting about life, and it never fails to make me laugh.

5. What’s in your work bag? What can you not leave the house without?

I can’t leave home without my lip balm, metro card, and, of course, my phone. As for my work bag, I try to keep things paperless, so I always have my laptop and my trusty calculator. Mental math and I just don’t get along—haha!

6. What’s your favorite style of FW24

My absolute favorite style coming out in FW24 is called RHODDE. It's a to-the-knee boot in this amazing distressed brown color. The heel height is super wearable, which is perfect for me, but it still has that sexy vibe to spice things up!

Lorenzo D’Iglio - International Visual Merchandiser

2. How do you express yourself outside of work?

When I'm not in the office, I transform into a DIY dynamo! I love working with my hands—whether it's building furniture, crafting unique decorations, or finding new ways to repurpose old items. It's a great way to unwind and let my creativity flow.

3. What’s in your work bag? What can you not leave the house without?

What's in my work bag? Well, you name it, and I probably have it! I'm the type of person who believes in being prepared for anything. You never know when someone might need an emergency nail clipper!

4. What’s your favorite style of FW24?

RENZO! Duh!! It was named after me 😉
