FW23 Boot Trends Actually Worth The Hype
It’s getting colder outside. Brrr. So naturally, we need to put a spotlight on one of our favourite silhouettes of the season.
From chunky and platform boots to knee-high and western boots, we've rounded up our list of the hottest boot styles for fall and winter 2023! Grab a pen and take some notes (you might want to prepare your wish list, too) because boots are the main character of the season.
The Chunky Boots

Aside from being a season staple year after year, with Chelsea boots and sock boot variants, we're seeing a refreshed version of chunky boots this FW23.
And what about styling these bad boys? That’s the best part! Chunky boots are so versatile and easy to dress up or down. Pair them with denim and a cozy jacket or a mini skirt and blazer.
Our personal fave? We love pairing chunky boots with flirty and feminine patterns and silhouettes like skirts and long dresses – the juxtaposition is eye-catching!
The Knee-High Boot

Across all boot silhouettes, from chunky to platform, tall boots are taking over. It's a staple boot to include in any wardrobe as they can be styled as a transitional essential and go with everything!
We love pairing knee-high boots with a mini skirt for balance or a longer dress that shows the boot off with a slit in the front or back. But they are also perfect for creating a sleek look with long denim or wide-leg trousers. There are just so many options!
The 70's Retro Platform

Trends are always coming back; it's like an ode to what was. And this season, it's all about channelling your inner retro flare. It features suede, richer tones, and, of course, 70's retro platforms.
Although platforms have been around for a while, we're seeing a new retro flare on runways and in fashionista's OOTDs. It started its debut last Spring/Summer, and it's not going anywhere. For FW23, we see platform boots everywhere, from ankle to tall, featuring anything from a square toe to a wooden bottom sole.
Pair your platforms with wide-leg denim or a suede miniskirt to embrace the retro flare. Or tone it down with long trousers or a long skirt, letting the height do all the work!
The Moto Boot

The moto trend is coming in hot this season, and we are all about it! Featuring its iconic buckle details, we love how it adds some edge to any look. From combat boots to knee-high boots, it’s being featured across all silhouettes.
Even better, moto boots are so easy to style – a definite wardrobe must-have for this fall and winter. Pair them with a printed skirt to show off the buckle detail and add a moto jacket for a bit of a rocker vibe.
But you can just as easily wear these boots with your everyday style – denim is always a great pairing.
The Western Boot
It's no revelation at this point; cowboy boots have been the talk of the town. But there is much more to play around with this season, including suede, studs, and more subtle western details.
We're seeing them in a style for everyone. From pops of colour and metallics to neutrals and different silhouettes, you will find a pair you're obsessed with! And even better, style them however you like!
Once a festival staple, western boots are now a season-to-season must-have; adding a pair to your closet is a safe bet. Even better, we foresee them sticking around for Spring/Summer 24. They pair perfectly with jeans, shorts, skirts, and literally everything!
The Latte Tone Boot

Who doesn't want their boots to match their morning latte? We’re obsessed. Ivory whites, rich creams, dark browns, everyone’s matching their boots and shoes to their morning pick-me-up.
Styles of all shapes and styles, from sock boots to platform boots, square toe or pointed, patent or smooth leather (vegan, obviously). Latte tones are everywhere for a reason: you can style them with anything, and they NEVER go out of style. This is a definite wardrobe must-have for any season, especially fall and winter.
Pair a cream tall boot with long denim jeans for an effortless look. Or take this trend to the next level with a monochromatic look with dark brown tall boots and a matching dress or two-piece set.
